TikTok 'Spy Dad’ Interviewer Maria Comstock Asks a CIA Station Chief the Questions We Really Want to Know!

When TikTok sensation Maria Comstock hosted True Spies Night at the SPYSCAPE Festival she couldn’t resist quizzing one of our special Festival guests - Dan Hoffman, a three-time CIA chief of station and former Clandestine Services officer. SPYEX Consultant Dan Hoffman was a panelist at the Festival's Spies & Storytellers evening.

True to form, Maria asked the questions we really want to know!

Maria: Do you think there are aliens?

Dan: Yes

Maria: What would you do if an assailant came into the room right now?

Dan: Kill ‘em.

Maria: What are the chances [Vladimir] Putin falls and someone takes his place?

Dan: It’s certainly possible. In Russia, they like to say, «Ваша собственная рубашка ближе всего к вашей коже» - “Your own shirt is closest to your skin" - so there are a lot of guys under threat from Putin and they might get to him first.

Maria: When was the last time you changed your password?

Dan: This morning.

Maria: What is the most important trait in a leader?

Dan: Empathy.

Maria: How dangerous is North Korea today?

Dan: More dangerous than it was yesterday. They just took the opportunity to launch two ballistic missile tests so they are improving their technology and they are looking to strike the United States homeland.
